Starfall - This site is used in Kindergarten  and First grade. It has activities using letters and stories students can read to reinforce the sounds. New activities are being added yearly to the site.

Family Fun - A website related to the magazine Family Fun. It has crafts and new ideas each month to make or bake.

PBS Kids - This is sponsored by PBS and has activities grouped by the characters on the shows. The  activities based on the shows will help you know if it will be preschool activity or 3rd grade. There is something there for all grades. They reinforce skills as well as comprehension.

TVO KIDS- This website has a variety of educational games. Some that we have been using include Word Magic, Bump-a-Word, Spelling Fleas, Globe Quest, and Brain Games. There are math games as well as games just for fun. A good site to explore.

Softschools - Educational games for all subject areas and grade levels.

BBC- This is an English version of PBS that reinforces skills. Syllable factory is one of the favorites.

GameGoo - Learning that Sticks! - Click on the band width, then KIDS. When the site opens, start at the beginning level and work your way to the top. There are a variety of greading games at each level.

Seussville- Click on High Bandwidth Site if you have cable and Low bandwidth Site if you have Dial up. Playground will bring you to many activities. You can click on any of the signs across the bottom of the screen. Seussville favorites have more activities for 1st and 2nd, however, all K-4 will find activities they like.

Scholastic - This connects to the Scholastic books website. There are activities and information for students, adults and teachers.

Top Kids Sites- This has online activities listed by subjects. Many activities to reinforce subjects taught daily.

Kids National Geographic- This website has activities, videos and other information usually associated with national geographic.

Ask Jeeves - Type in your question and you will be directed to web site that will answer your question.

Surf the Net with Kids- Both are good sites to go to for research or general information. Just type in your question and the sites you will find the information on will pop up. It can be very helpful when you are stuck. They are similar to Google.

Boston Public Library - It is free to sign up for a library card. All materials (book, magazines, reference materials, etc)for all levels are available. The best part is .the homework help. Live people are there after school, so you can ask them how to do the parts of your homework that you do not understand. A person on the other end will walk you through it. Extremely helpful!
