Title1 is a federally funded program. The amount of money the town receives is based on the poverty level. The services are offered to all students that qualify for the program. Students are included based on their test scores, teacher recommendation, and parent recommendation. Most new students are tested just to see how well they read. Students are serviced by highly qualified staff based on the Massachusetts Department of Education criteria.
All students are given the STAR Reading Test five times a year and the DIBLES three times per year. Students may have progress monitoring done as needed throughout the year.
